O telejornalismo: um estudo sobre as diferenças de um canal informativo e um canal generalista da mesma estação

A televisão é o meio de comunicação social de maior repercussão na sociedade. Para grande parte da população em Portugal este continua a ser a principal fonte de notícias. Por essa razão surgiu a necessidade de perceber como se faz o telejornalismo e o efeito que ele provoca na sociedade. O considerável avanço da televisão, principalmente desde que apareceu a rede por cabo, merece cada vez mais atenção e muitos são os estudos que se têm dedicado a esta evolução. Os canais informativos têm cada vez mais impacto no meio, mas ainda assim, em Portugal, há quem não tenha televisão por assinatura. Consciente desta realidade surgiu a necessidade de verificar as diferenças que separam um canal generalista de um canal informativo da mesma estação para perceber se a generalidade do público está a receber a informação por igual. Durante a experiência de estágio ao longo de seis meses na redação da SIC e da SIC Notícias verifiquei algumas ocorrências que me levaram a iniciar esta investigação, nomeadamente quando alguns dos trabalhos que realizei passaram para a SIC Notícias e outros não.

Television is the most influent social media in society. For the most of portuguese people it is the only news’ source. OU For a huge part of the portuguese society this media keeps to be the only source of news. Therefore, it became necessary to understand how the television news are done and which effects they cause in society. The significant progression of television, especially since the cable network appeared, deserves an increased attention, and there are many studies that approached this evolution. The news channels have more and more impact on the field, but in Portugal there are still people who don’t pay for cable TV Aware of this reality, it became necessary to verify the differences that separate a generalist channel from a news channel within the same company in order to understand if the public receives equal information or not. During my experience, for six months at SIC and SIC Notícias newsroom, I noticed some occurrences that guided me to do this investigation, mainly when some of my news reports were also in SIC Notícias and others were not.
