Comunicação oral convidada - IL4 Our research group has been engaged for some years on the synthesis of fluorescent unnatural amino acids based on heterocycles and has studied their application as fluorescent markers and fluorimetric probes for biologically relevant alkaline, alkaline-earth and transition metal cations. Our most recent results in the application of various heterocycles (benz-X-azoles, (oligo)thiophenes, azoles, furans, and crown ethers) on asparagine, glutamine and phenylalanine cores will be presented. Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia Thanks are due to Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT-Portugal) and FEDER-COMPETE for financial support through Centro de Química-UM [PEst-C/QUI/UI0686/2013 (FCOMP-01-0124- FEDER-037302]. |
