Resumo

A Work Project, presented as part of the requirements for the Award of a Masters Degree in Management from the NOVA – School of Business and Economics

This work-project is based on a four-month internship at Fashion Division of Sonae SR. In a context of supply chain performance, the project aims to answer Zippy’s need of having a clearer understanding and a major control of landed costs incurred as a result of outsourcing the majority of its production to a network of suppliers based in low-cost Asian countries. Thus, the project includes two main goals: analyze the estimation process of landed costs and obtain per unit landed cost benchmarks as a function of item type and country of origin.
