A Work Project, presented as part of the requirements for the Award of a Masters Degree in Management from the NOVA – School of Business and Economics While working as an intern for the social enterprise Book a Street Artist, I was responsible for implementing an internationalization plan. Due to the lack of information about how social enterprises internationalize, a three-plus-two step structure has been developed and applied to the enterprise. This work demonstrates that to precisely scale up social impact, the actual implementation of social enterprises´ internationalization should be done in a rapid, not necessarily systematic manner. Therefore, the best way to internationalize is based on an implementation strategy which is suited to the enterprises´ actual market conditions and its business model. |
