A Work Project, presented as part of the requirements for the Award of a Masters Degree in Management from the NOVA – School of Business and Economics

Mobile phones have been facing enormous technological changes through the years, and people are nowadays completely dependent from them. With the boom of smartphones, a new mini-economy of mobile applications (apps) has been created. There is an enormous offer of these apps and for a diversity of purposes, from entertainment and games to apps that help people in daily tasks. Mobitto appeared with a new concept: a mobile app that rewards people by doing the things they like the most and allows them to build their own loyalty club. However, being a multi-sided platform, where there is a need of a relevant number of both users and businesses, in the beginning it is difficult to attract them as they are only interested when the other part is solid. This project will be focused on the users’ side and how to attract them into Mobitto, through initiatives that will increase the awareness of the brand and, in the long-term, initiatives that are crucial to engage the users acquired.
