Designing and implementing a performance: The case of Estomeo – Dental Industry

Measuring performance assumes an extreme importance in any business. Nonetheless, a significant percentage of companies lack knowledge and skills on the area. To contribute to further study on the topic of performance measurement in small and medium sized enterprises, this research focuses on the design and implementation of a performance measurement system in a small firm operating in the dental industry, ESTOMEO, conducted as an internship, from July to December of 2012. The framework was well-accepted and so, even though the Work Project is completed there is still research to be performed, justifying an extension of the internship after December.
