ARCHI-AVE: património documental da bacia do Ave: estudo orgânico-funcional e tratamento documental

O relatório que se apresenta é o produto final do estágio desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Informação Empresarial. De acordo com os interesses da instituição e enquadrando-se nos objetivos do mestrado, construiu-se um plano de trabalho que tem como objetivo principal o estudo e tratamento arquivístico do Sistema de Informação dos Serviços Hidráulicos, por forma a servir a comunidade de investigadores. Este estudo teve por base o método quadripolar, considerado como o mais adequado na área da Ciência da Informação. O tratamento arquivístico da informação produzida e acumulada por este Sistema de Informação exigiu a elaboração de um estudo de natureza orgânica e funcional, para o período entre 1884 e 1973. As atividades desenvolvidas que permitiram a sua concretização consistem na recolha e análise da legislação, nomeadamente diplomas legais, regulamentos, estatutos, entre outros documentos, que serviram de base à reconstituição da história dos serviços hidráulicos, bem como da evolução da estrutura e funcionalidade da orgânica. Com este trabalho, foram elaboradas propostas de organogramas e quadros de contexto orgânico-funcional para melhor traduzir as suas mudanças ao longo do tempo. Após o conhecimento do objeto de estudo, procedeu-se ao tratamento técnico da informação com auxílio da ISAD(G), criação de pontos de acesso, segundo a norma ISAAR(CPF) e indexação com apoio da NP-3715 e da NP-4036. Estas atividades foram realizadas com auxílio do software de Gestão de Arquivos – GISA (Gestão Integrada de Sistemas de Arquivo) – que assenta num modelo integrado, concebido para acompanhar as diversas fases do ciclo vital da informação. Devido à dimensão do sistema de informação, o tratamento arquivístico foi concretizado apenas entre 1902 e 1920, apresentando-se portanto uma amostra do trabalho e não o seu todo. Com este estudo e, apesar de ainda haver um longo caminho a percorrer no campo da Ciência da Informação, esperamos ter contribuído para dar uma maior visibilidade a este acervo, disponibilizando-o para conhecimento público.

The report presented is the final product of the training course developed within the Master Degree in Business Information. In accordance with the interests of the institution and complying with the aims of the masters, a work plan has been built up, which main aim is the study and archival treatment of the Information System of Hydraulic Services, in order to serve the community of researchers. This study was based on the four-pole method, considered as the most suitable in the field of Information Science. The archival treatment of the information produced and accumulated by this Information System required the preparation of a study of organic and functional nature, for the period between 1884 and 1974. The carried out activities which allowed its implementation consist of the collection and analysis of legislation, in particular legal diplomas, regulations, bylaws, among other documents, which served as the basis for the reconstruction of the history of hydraulic services, as well as the evolution of the structure and functionality of the organic. With this work, proposals of organization charts and tables of organic and functional context were made to better reflect its changes over time. After the knowledge of the object of study, we proceeded to the technical treatment of information with the aid of ISAD (G), creating access points, according to the standard ISAAR (CPF) and indexing with support of NP-3715 and NP-4036. These activities were carried out with the aid of File Management software - GISA (Integrated Management of File Systems) - based on an integrated model, designed to accompany the various phases of the life cycle of information. Due to the size of the information system, the archival treatment was achieved only between 1902 and 1920, thus presenting a sample of the work and not the whole. With this study and, despite still having a long way to go in the field of Information Science, we hope to have contributed to give greater visibility to this collection, making it available for public knowledge.
