Corre mãe! Corre!: trabalho de projecto

Trabalho de Projeto submetido à Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema para cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Teatro - especialização em Teatro do Movimento.

O presente relatório representa o trabalho desenvolvido na criação e apresentação do espetáculo Corre Mãe! Corre! pelo Leirena Teatro, no âmbito do Mestrado de Teatro - especialização em Teatro do Movimento da Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. É objeto de estudo neste relatório as referências e os conhecimentos artísticos que possibilitaram a exploração de um processo e de uma linguagem na construção de um espetáculo de teatro relacionado com a região onde o Leirena Teatro se encontra inserido, Leiria. Para esse efeito, evoca-se no presente a importância da comunidade na conceção deste produto artístico. O diálogo existente entre os dados adquiridos no processo de pesquisa e os conhecimentos artísticos que a companhia detém, permitiu desenvolver uma dramaturgia textual e cénica singular que estabeleceu um ponto de contacto importante com a comunidade ao envolver a cultura da Região Centro à arte teatral. Sublinha-se que esta flexibilidade originou a criação de um espetáculo que, apesar de fazer alusão a um momento histórico que afirmou Portugal enquanto nação através da Batalha de Aljubarrota contra a invasão Castelhana, representa a luta de uma mãe que tudo faz para garantir a segurança da sua família. O processo de pesquisa e construção do Corre Mãe! Corre! teve início em abril de dois mil e doze e a sua estreia aconteceu no Teatro Miguel Franco, Leiria, a três de novembro do mesmo ano, estando com temporada marcada pelo País até catorze de setembro de dois mil e treze.

ABSTRACT - The following report shows the work developed in the creation and presentation of the play Corre Mãe! Corre! by Leirena Teatro, in the Masters in Theatre Program - Theatre of Movement in the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. The object of study in this report are the references and artistic knowledge which allowed for the exploration of a process and language in the construction of a play related to the region where Leirena Teatro resides, Leiria. For this, the community played a key role in the concept of this artistic object. Existent dialogue between the acquired data in the research process and the artistic knowledge that the company holds, allowed for the development of a dramatic text which established an important point of contact with the community involving the culture of the central region and the theatrical arts. This flexibility originated in the creation of a play which, in spite of referring to the historical moment which solidified Portugal as a nation in the Battle of Aljubarrota against the Castilian invasion, it also represents the fight in a mother who does everything it takes to ensure the safety of her family. The research process and construction of Corre Mãe! Corre! began in April 2012 and opened in the Miguel Franco Theatre, Leiria, on November 3rd of that same year. It toured nationally until September 14th 2013.
