Os recursos materiais das áreas de atividade: a sua importância nas escolhas das crianças

Relatório da Prática Profissional Supervisionada Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar

O presente relatório resulta da Prática Profissional Supervisionada efetuada nos contextos de Creche e de Jardim de Infância. Este refere-se a toda a minha intervenção, particularmente àquela que diz respeito à investigação realizada. Esta investigação decorreu somente no contexto de Jardim de Infância, tendose debruçado sobre os recursos materiais das áreas da sala de atividade e a importância destes na escolha das crianças. Antes de definir este tema, foi necessário observar e analisar o comportamento das crianças para perceber o porquê de estas não selecionarem as áreas da Ciência e da Escrita. Cheguei à conclusão que o motivo destas atitudes estava relacionado com os materiais existentes em cada uma destas áreas e que se existissem novos recursos, as crianças escolhiam a Ciência e a Escrita. Importou também verificar o que as crianças exploravam quando estavam nestas áreas e perceber se as áreas adjacentes interferiam no comportamento das crianças. Isto verificou-se apenas na área da Ciência. A fim de corrigir esta situação, reorganizou-se o espaço educativo. Só depois intervim ao nível da inserção de materiais. O educador, antes de organizar o espaço educativo com os respetivos materiais, deve, em primeiro lugar, planear e só depois, concretizar as suas intenções. O próximo passo diz respeito à observação e avaliação do espaço, a fim de compreender se este está a ser explorado da maneira pretendida. Caso não se verifique este comportamento, é sua função produzir alterações ou modificações no espaço. Por fim, é necessário uma posterior observação para constatar se estas situações foram corrigidas.

ABSTRACT The present report results of Professional Practice Supervised performed in the contexts of Nursery and Kindergarten. This refers to all my intervention, particularly the one that regards to the conducted investigation. This investigation took place only in the institution where it made the internship in Kindergarten, having been leaning over the material resources on the areas of the activity room and the importance of them in the children’s choice. Before define this theme, it was necessary observe and analyze the children’s behavior to understand the cause of they didn’t select the areas of Science and of Writing. I came to a conclusion that the motive of their attitudes were related with existing materials in which one of this areas and that if there were new resources, children chose the Science and the Writing. It imported also checks what children explored when were in these areas and understand if the adjacent areas interfered in the children’s behavior. This was found just in the area of Science. To correct this situation, it was reorganized the educative space. Only after that, I intervened to the level of the insertion of materials. The educator, before organize the educative space with the materials, should, in first place, plane and later concretize your intentions. The next step it concerns do the observation and evaluation of the space, to comprehend if this is explored in the way that was pretended. In case this behavior doesn’t occur, it’s his function to produce alterations or modifications in the space. For last, it’s necessary a posterior observation to find if these situations were corrected.
