Prática de ensino supervisionado no 1.º e 2.º ciclo do ensino básico: desenvolver competências de recolha e tratamento da informação na aprendizagem da História e Geografia no 1.º e 2.º CEB

Relatório de investigação apresentado à Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa para obtenção de grau de mestre no Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

A recolha e o tratamento da informação é uma competência transversal à História e à Geografia que importa desenvolver nos alunos do 1.º e do 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico (CEB). Como tal, o presente estudo realizado em dois contextos educativos no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II (PES II), pretende verificar de que modo as metodologias investigativas, colocadas em prática, podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento de competências de recolha e tratamento da informação na aprendizagem da História e da Geografia no 1.º e no 2.º CEB. As decisões metodológicas tomadas na elaboração deste relatório dizem respeito a uma aproximação ao paradigma da metodologia da investigação-ação. Além disso, foi realizada uma revisão da literatura de modo a tornar possível definir o conteúdo a dar à noção de “metodologias investigativas”. Os resultados deste estudo possibilitaram concluir que em ambos os contextos educativos os alunos desenvolveram competências de recolha e tratamento da informação na aprendizagem da História e da Geografia. No entanto, é de referir que no no contexto do 1.º CEB os alunos revelaram ter igualmente capacidade de recolher e tratar a informação, enquanto no 2.º CEB, os alunos revelaram ter melhores capacidades de recolha de informação, apresentando assim, maiores dificuldades em tratar a informação. No que diz respeito às limitações deste estudo, estas passam pelo facto de apenas ter sido analisada uma fase do processo investigativo – recolha e tratamento da informação. Assim, considera-se que no caso da PES II contemplar períodos de intervenção de maior duração, seria interessante e pertinente colocar em prática atividades investigativas que promovessem a passagem por outras etapas que fazem parte do processo investigativo.

ABSTRACT The collection and the processing of information is a competence that across the subjects of History and Geography. An important thing is the development of this competence in the children of the first and second cycle of school. The object of this study, realized at the Practice, is verify how the investigative methodologies could contribute for the knowledge, in History and Geography, of the children that are in the 2nd and in the 5th grade of school. The methodologic decision of this study includes an approach to the methodoly of investigation/action. Besides that, was realized a literature revision about the concept of “investigative methodologies”. The results of this study reveal that the students of both classes developed competencies of collection and processing information. But were the students of the first cycle that reveals better competencies about collect and process information. The students of the second cycle were better at the collection step comparing with the processing information step. So, we can conclude that the class of 5th grade had some difficulties at the step of processing information. Besides the results that we can achieve it is also important refer the restrictions of this study. This study is only based in one step of the investigative process - collect and process information. So, could be interesting perform activities that promotes the work at other steps of the investigative process. However, we should not forget that these activities were implemented at the Practice, which has a very short period of duration, so at the same time this is as well a restriction of the study.
