Resumo

<p>The greenness, or lack thereof, of various ionic liquid syntheses and purification methodologies are assessed using a common tool used in strategic planning viz. strengths weaknesses opportunities threats (SWOT) analysis, including their adherence to the twelve principles of green chemistry, % atom economies and E-factors.</p>
