<p>Aggregation of gold nanoparticles with rigid cucurbit[5]uril molecules generates fixed inter-particle separations of 0.91 nm. These nanoparticle assemblies possess discrete plasmonic modes which elucidate nanoscale growth and serve as molecular-recognition based SERS substrates.</p> |
