Why does the Christian faith spend so much time talking about the cross? Isn’t it a little bit embarrassing that we, as Christians, participate in the only major religious tradition whose founder was executed by established authority? Even so, Paul insists on preaching Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.
