The effect of stress variation of the low beam and the vertical pillars caused by the deviated loads is discussed, when the forging press is working, and the reason of the 1ow beam breaking is proved. The effect of the counter-forces of guide-barrels against the vertical pillars is discussed in detail,the shortage of hypotheses in classical design of hydraulic press is pointed out, which provides a new thinking for the structural design and improvement of this kind of machinery.
