On the basis of the meaning of farmland carrying capacity, the paper points out that many factors influence farmland carrying capacity, including environmental and socioeconomic factors. Farmland carrying capacity is dynamic. Changing the influential factors and conditions can increase farmland carrying capacity. The paper puts forward several approaches of increasing farmland carrying capacity, such as system coupling, open condition, the institution about farmland and the structure of farmland.
