掺铒碲钨酸盐玻璃及其平面波导

Resumo

研制了一种用于宽带波导放大器的掺铒碲钨酸盐激光玻璃材料,对玻璃热稳定性、光谱性质进行了表征,并在其上采用离子交换法制作了平面光波导.掺铒碲钨酸盐玻璃的转变温度Tg和析品开始温度Tx分别为377.1和488.5℃;荧光半高宽为52nm;应用McCumber理论,计算得出Er^3+离子4I13/2→^4I15/2跃迁在峰值波长1532nm的受激发射截面为0.91×10^-20cm^2.不同条件下制作了在632.8nm处多模的平面光波导,通过拟合得到Ag^+离子在300℃的有效扩散系数De为2.82×10^-1

Er3+-doped tungsten-tellurite glass for broadband waveguide amplifier application was fabricated and characterized by the thermal stability, spectroscopic properties and ion exchange property. The glass transition temperature T-g and crystallization onset temperature T-x are 377.1 and 488.5 degrees C, respectively. The fluorescence spectrum indicates that the fluorescence width at half maximum (FWHM) is 52nm. Calculated by McCumber theory the peak stimulated emission cross section of Er3+ from the upper level I-4(13/2) to the ground level I-4(15/2) is 0.91 x 10(-20)cm(2). Multi modes at 632.8nm were detected in Er3+-doped tungsten-tellurite glass, and the fitting effective diffusion coefficient D-e of Ag+ ion at 300 degrees C and the activation energy Q were calculated to be 2.82x10(-16)mu m(2) and 149.7kJ/mol, respectively. The results show that Er3+ doped tungsten-tellurite glass is a prospective candidate for broadband integrated optical amplifier materials.
