Reporting on death and accidents in regional and rural areas can exact a heavy toll on reporters. News reporters necessarily report on trauma. Overseas correspondents who report from war zones or areas of conflict or natural disaster are often exposed to physical risk and are sometimes required to confront extreme trauma.
