A reconstrução da realidade com a informação digital : a emergência da dupla competência sociológica

As possibilidades das metodologias informacionais para a Sociologia tornam-se problemáticas, pois ela se encontra imersa na sociedade do conhecimento, cuja novidade principal é a de que a informação está envolvida numa estruturação reflexiva e comunicacional. As metodologias de pesquisa do conhecimento sociológico, vinculadas ao mundo da informação digital computável, implicam desafios, sobretudo diante das novas modulagens relacionadas à produção e à descoberta de conhecimentos suportados por computadores. O mundo sociológico apresenta-se, cada vez mais, conectado à reflexividade do conhecimento, assim, a decifração da esfinge informacional pode vir a ser uma grande contribuição da Sociologia à compreensão tanto da produção do conhecimento dessa área, como da vida social contemporânea. Urge, nesse sentido, que a Sociologia caminhe em direção à dupla competência sociológica (Sociologia e Informática) para a formação dos novos cientistas e pesquisadores sociais. O objetivo principal desta tese é verificar a situação da atual interface entre os(as) sociólogos(as) brasileiros(as) e a Informática. Busca-se, também, identificar as implicações metodológicas advindas da interface entre Informática e Sociologia na produção do saber acadêmico, assim como apontar algumas perspectivas desafiadoras para a dupla competência sociológica tanto no tocante à investigação como à produção do seu próprio saber. Inicia-se com parte da história da informação digital, especificando-se e precisando-se seu conceito. Metodologicamente, realizou-se uma pesquisa em nível nacional, através da Internet, visando-se identificar o impacto da Informática na produção do conhecimento sociológico no Brasil. Para tanto, utilizaram-se um programa questionário (software criado para esta tese) e recursos de banco de dados relacionais. Pergunta-se se a adoção de múltiplos procedimentos da informação computada está ou não permitindo a superação das velhas antinomias do tratamento informacional e afirmando um novo padrão de produção e de trabalho científico que se poderia denominar sociologia informacional. Quer-se, assim, afirmar que, diferentemente dos artefatos e instrumentos de elevada amplificação muscular e/ou apenas sensória, a informação digital computável potencializa mais efetivamente a amplificação lógico-cognitiva como o compartilhamento de memória de longo prazo, a integração de suportes recursivos sobre inferência numéricas ou miméticas, a recuperação parametrizada de dados e informações, o compartilhamento de cenários analíticos de simulações e o apoio a descobertas de conhecimento sociológico.

Bibliotecas digitais em Arquitetura e urbanismo: um estudo sobre a arquitetura da informação digital

The goal of this paper was to search the state of the art from the Digital Libraries in Architecture and Urbanism in the Higher Education Institutions (IES) through conceptualizations and showing the importance of Digital Libraries in the disclosure and easing of information transferring. Questions about digital information architecture, usability, digital preservation and accessibility were approached. The research was made in the websites of Brazilian Universities, firstly to identify the institutions which offered the Architecture and Urbanism course, focusing on postgraduate education. After identifying the offering, the research was done by analyzing the contents, storage and dissemination and access to information, these libraries. It was found that the digital libraries are increasingly and taking part of organizations and educational institutions focusing on the knowledge dissemination releasing digitally information that may be needed for institution or the individual. A monitoring was done over of the physical and computational restructuring of the Board of Studies and Research in Architecture and Urbanism (Câmara de Estudos e Pesquisa em Arquitetura e Urbanismo, CEPAU), from the Architecture and Urbanism Course of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), showing the need of installing a Digital Library to integrate the databases of PPGAU s research groups, which today remain independent, with no interface among themselves. The research chosen area was Architecture and Urbanism, because there is a gap and little documentation about digital libraries in this area

Qualidade do serviço de informação digital :um estudo exploratório em web sites de Programas de Pós-Graduação

This dissertation of Mestrado investigated the performance and quality of web sites. The target of the research is the proposal of an integrated model of evaluation of services of digital information in web educational sites. The universe of the research was constituted by eighteen Brazilian Universities that offer after-graduation courses, in the levels of mestrado and doutorado in the area of Engineering of Production. The adopted methodology was a descriptive and exploratory research, using the technique of systematic comment and focus group, for the collection of the data, using itself changeable independent dependents and, through the application of two instruments of research. The analysis protocol was the instrument adopted for evaluation and attainment of qualitative results. E the analysis grating was applied for evaluation and attainment of the quantitative results. The qualitative results had identified to the lack of standardization of web sites, under the attributes of content, hierarchy of information, design of the colors and letters. It of accessibility for carriers of auditory and visual special necessities was observed inexistence, as well as the lack of convergence of medias and assistivas technologies. The language of the sites also was evaluated and all present Portuguese only language. The general result demonstrated in grafico and tables with classification of the Universities, predominating the Good note As for the quantitative results, analysis method ed was estatistico, in order to get the descriptive and inferencial result between the dependent and independent variaveis. How much a category of analysis of the services of the evaluated sites, was found it props up and the index generality weighed. These results had served of base for ranking of existence or inexistence the Universities, how much of the information of services in its web sites. In analysis inferencial the result of the test of correlation or association of the independent variaveis (level, concept of the CAPES and period of existence of the program) with the caracteristicas, called was gotten categories of services. For this analysis the estatisticos methods had been used: coefficient of Spearman and the Test of Fisher. But the category you discipline of the Program of Mestrado presented significance with variavel independent and concept of the CAPES. Main conclusion of this study it was ausencia of satandardization o how much to the subjective aspects, design, hierarchy of information navigability and content precision and the accessibility inexistence and convergence. How much to the quantitative aspects, the information services offered by web sites of the evaluated Universities, still they do not present a satisfactory and including quality. Absence of strategies, adoption of tools web, techniques of institucional marketing and services that become them more interactive, navigable is perceived and with aggregate value

Avaliação de Desempenho na Gestão da Informação Digital: contribuições da literatura científica

O objetivo do estudo é identificar e analisar na literatura internacional as correlações métricas entre avaliação de desempenho e gestão da informação digital. Justifica-se pela necessidade de ampliação de abordagens da ciência da informação em relação à gestão da informação digital. Caracteriza-se como um estudo de natureza exploratória e caráter quali-quantitativo com o uso do processo   Proknow-C para seleção da literatura, identificação, análise e reflexão das características das publicações. Os resultados identificaram cinco autores mais citados, da área de gestão em geral e na área de avaliação; o periódico mais receptivo ao tema foi o International Journal of Public Sector Management e as áreas de comunicação e tecnologia. Os resultados encontrados podem sustentar o desenvolvimento de conhecimento interdisciplinar sobre o tema com novas contribuições, uma vez que evidenciaram-se lacunas estruturais de abordagens no campo da ciência da informação.
