Processo de desfloculação de leveduras por ação enzimática consistindo em duas formas de tratamento que podem ser aplicadas isoladamente, ou em conjunto, onde em uma primeira forma, dita forma rápida, utiliza-se enzimas proteolíticas que atuam em radicais amina e/ou carboxila de proteínas da superfície celular das leveduras, sendo que as referida enzimas apresentam tempo de reação relativamente curto, preferivelmente entre 5 a 180 minutos, dependendo da dosagem do produto que pode variar entre 1550 e 15500 UE de fermento ou mosto fermentado.

Processo para determinação de glicerol em que a metodologia de dosagem parte da purificação das enzimas envolvidas no ensaio, a partir de levedura de panificação, uma fonte barata e de fácil obtenção para ser usada no laboratório de controle de qualidade de bebidas e industrias de biocombustível. O objeto da presente patente de invenção consiste em obter preparação enzimática parcialmente purificada da levedura comercial seca de panificação, contendo a glicerol - fosfato oxidase e glicerol quinase, e preparação enzimática bruta de extrato de rabanete (fonte de peroxidase) para montagem de ensaios de dosagens doglicerol, em amostras químicas e biológicas. A presente invenção está relacionada com o processo para obtenção e determinação de substâncias envolvendo a oxidase, quinase e peroxidase.

The Brown brocket deer (Mazama gouazoubira) is the most common free-living and captive deer in South America, especially in Brazil, and has great ecological and scientific significance. However, data on hematological and biochemical parameters in brown brocket deer are scarce. The goal of this study was to establish reference ranges for hematological and biochemical parameters of Mazama gouazoubira, comparing differences during the seasons of the year and between sex. Blood samples from ten adult healthy brown brocket deer (6 female and 4 male) were collected during daytime, monthly, during 12 months. The animals were maintained in individual stable, protected from noise and fed ad libitum with commercial ration and green fodder. For blood collection, animals were submitted to physical restrain for no longer than 2 minutes. The following parameters were determined: red blood cell count (RBC), haemoglobin concentration, packed cell volume (PCV), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC), white blood cell count (WBC), platelet count, enzyme activity of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and serum levels of alkaline phosphatase (ALP), creatine kinase (CK), total protein (TP), albumin, cholesterol, total calcium, ionic calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, triglycerides, creatinine and urea. Values were compared according to season and sex. RBC count, WBC count and MCV suggested seasonal influence. Haemoglobin concentration, PCV and MCV were influenced by sex. Serum concentration of total calcium, ionic calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium were influenced by season. Serum magnesium was also influenced by sex. The blood parameters herein reported may be useful as reference values for diagnostic and prognostic purposes in captive brown-brocket deer.

The aim of this study was to evaluate citric acid application with or without chitosan on the maintenance of the quality of litchi 'Bengal'. It was used litchi on mature maturation stage. After selection, fruits were immersed for one minute on the solution of citric acid and chitosan: [1]Control - without immersion; [2] citric acid 300g L-1, [3] citric acid 300 g L-1 + chitosan 0,3%, [4]citric acid 300 g L-1 + chitosan 0,6%, [5] citric acid 600 g L-1, [6] citric acid 600 g L-1 + chitosan 0,3%, [7] citric acid 600 g L-1 + chitosan 0,6%. Chitosan of low molecular weight and deacetylation degree of 75,58% (Sigma - Aldrich®) were used. After immersion, fruits were put to drain the excess of solution. Then, they were stored in cool chamber at 5ºC, previously sanitized, for 20 days. The experiment was conducted following a completely randomized design, with a factorial scheme composed by seven coating solutions and five sampling dates. Every five days were evaluated: loss of fresh mass of fruits; color; content of anthocyanins and the activity of peel enzymes polyphenoloxidase and peroxidase. It was verified that the solution of citric acid 600 g L-1, associated or not to chitosan, and the combination of chitosan 0,3% to 300 g L-1 of citric acid were the most efficient to maintain the quality of litchi 'Bengal' for 20 days at 5ºC.
