From its foundation until nowadays, the city of São Paulo has undergone major transformation processes, one of the responsibles for these changes is the presence of efficient transportation ; From construction of roads and routes for the animal traction transportation, railroads, expansion and improvements to the introduction of the automobiles, highways, subway system, among others, all these changes are related to greater flow of people and goods. However nowadays has been reflected issues such as quality of life and development of society in a sustainable way, once we have the construction and reconstruction of space in benefit of capital, and therefore the valuation of individual motorized transport. The overuse of individual motor vehicles are generating an urban chaos, making it increasingly difficult to transit in big cities, the use of bicycles is presented as a viable modal alternative, allowing the flow, and enhancing the health of society and quality of the air

O grau de desenvolvimento econômico e social de uma sociedade pode ser avaliado diretamente à facilidade de transporte de passageiros e cargas. A qualidade de vida nas cidades é fortemente influenciada pelas características do transporte público. O Brasil tem 80 % de sua população morando em cidades, de forma que uma maior utilização do transporte público seria a solução para problemas de congestionamento, poluição, acidentes, desumanização e outros males que atingem as cidades modernas. Bauru, interior de São Paulo, é uma cidade de porte médio que apresenta um dos maiores índices de utilização de automóveis particulares, em parte pela formação da cidade, que é “espalhada”, e outra por suas características econômicas. A população de baixa renda, moradores da periferia e dependentes do transporte público, enfrenta grandes dificuldades para acessar as diferentes áreas da cidade (má operacionalização do sistema?). Este trabalho de finalização da graduação tem como objetivo maior trazer opções e facilitar o acesso da população a todas as áreas da cidade, através de um sistema de terminais e mini-terminais urbanos de transporte coletivo, buscando a melhor utilização do espaço público, uma maior mobilidade na cidade e a melhoria da qualidade de vida da população

Análise da acessibilidade dos idosos no transporte coletivo urbano de Rio Claro - SP

This paper analyzes the accessibility of the elderly population in relation to urban transportation in the city of Rio Claro - SP. After a study of the physiology, infrastructure, history and legislation of the city, there were collected and analyzed data obtained through semi-structured interviews with the elderly population that makes use of public transport with the aim of identifying the user's profile as well as their impressions and criticism of the service. The Department of Transport and Urban Mobility of Rio Claro provided general information related to public transport in the city. After all the survey, it can be seen that, although a significant portion of the elderly population make use of public transport, there are problems related to the structure of the city, which hinders the movement of buses, and the accessibility of the elderly, caused by physical characteristics of the vehicles, attitude of the motorists and aspects of public administration of the town. These data support the conclusion that there is often a disregard for the rights of the elderly and that it not only should as it can be corrected

O transporte coletivo intermunicipal no Estado de São Paulo: as linhas suburbanas

Esse trabalho tem por objetivo, mostrar a evolução do sistema de transporte coletivo intermunicipal do Estado de São Paulo. Nesse sentido, partimos do processo de industrialização e nacionalização da indústria automobilística. Procuramos também mostrar a evolução do Departamento de Estradas e Rodagem [DER], no papel de direcionador e gerenciador do sistema. Nesse processo, detalhamos o papel de todos os governos do Estado de São Paulo, na implantação de sistema viário estadual [1950-2006]. Também procuramos demonstrar o surgimento dos principais grupos que monopolizam cada vez mais o setor dos transportes coletivo intermunicipal. Assim, vamos comprovar a tese de que as empresas do transporte coletivo intermunicipal estão utilizando as linhas suburbanas para fazer frente ao grande avanço do transporte clandestino intermunicipal no Estado de São Paulo.

Análise da qualidade do transporte público por ônibus no município de Jundiaí-SP

This work shows the importance of taking a good organization of space for the improvement of urban public transport. The model of urban transport is used improperly aggravating factor that generates diseconomies to society. The reduction of the use of public transport, degradation of environmental conditions, chronic congestion, poor accessibility and high rates of traffic accidents are common in many cities. The case study will be done in Jundiaí - SP, where actions were taken to try to reverse this situation of crisis in urban transport, as the change in transport network system. Will analyze the proposals adopted for the implementation of the new network model, steps taken, questionnaires and results from these studies. For decades the Companhia Tróleibus de Araraquara was a national reference in public transportion, but in recent years it is in a process of bankruptcy and scrapping, characteristics of privatizing processes that has been occurring worldwide since the rise of neoliberal ideas. This monography is centered on the finance analysis of CTA to investigate what reasons led the public company to come in the current financial scenario, what are the interests that exist to privatize a public company and which consequences the sale of the of public companies have for a country of subordinate capitalism like Brazil. Most Brazilian cities are in an urban collapse due to the lack of public policies for public transportation and bulky incentives for private transportation. Furthermore, this monography aims to contribute for the study of urban mobility and point out if privatization is a way to improve life in the cities
