Sistema de Apoio Ósseo para Mecânica Ortodôntica (SAO®): miniplacas para ancoragem ortodôntica. Parte I: tratamento da mordida aberta

Este trabalho descreve uma nova forma de ancoragem por meio de miniplacas denominada SAO®, Sistema de Apoio Ósseo para Mecânica Ortodôntica. Após a descrição do sistema, protocolos de tratamento para mordidas abertas esqueléticas são apresentados. A aplicação de cantiléveres e alças apoiadas diretamente nos tubos do sistema de ancoragem permite que associações de problemas verticais e sagitais (Classe II e III) sejam tratadas de formas distintas. A aplicação de forças leves e constantes e o controle tridimensional das forças aplicadas são o grande diferencial desse novo sistema.

Vantagem competitiva nas empresas contemporâneas: a informação e a inteligência competitiva na tomada de decisões estratégicas

We present the importance of information management and competitive intelligence as generating factors of competitive advantage in organizations. Through a study from the company Mizumo (SP) was possible demonstrate how obtaining and using of strategic information tools supported by in competitive intelligence can bring benefits and subsidies to organizations in identifying opportunities and threats, or even contribute to building and implementation of innovative projects aimed at ensuring quality of life for society.

Informação orgânica como insumo estratégico para a tomada de decisão em ambientes competitivos: estudo nas empresas do setor varejista situadas na cidade de Marília/SP

The focus of this research is centered on organic information production, sharingand use on the enterprise decision making process. The information on the present economy becomes value source for organizations. The organic information is produced on the organization s internal environment been a product of the activities made by execution its functions. Knowing the elements that involve this process gives a great help to managers once the decision making process is permeated by conflicts and different perceptions. Therefore, the organic information can reduce these conflicts on organizational contexts, because it reduces the uncertainness, propitiates more security and more trustworthiness to the decision making process, besides it gives dynamism to people s time involved on the process. The investigated universe was composed by the companies affiliated to Construnova Net, from construction material segment, located at Marilia Region s cities, Sao Paulo State, because it is an important segment which influences the local and regional economy. The methodological proceedings used are based on the qualitative approach which method is related to descriptive and exploratory research. As data collecting instruments were elaborated a structured questionnaire with closed questions and an interview s syllabus which contents are related to the research s aims. As analysis proceedings for the collected data and also to consider the qualitative approach it was chosen the Contents Analysis method from Bardin and more specifically the Categorical Analysis . Consequently, we conclude that it is deficient in production of organic information, or to produce documents that prove and control the activities that are developed within the organization is not satisfactory. Política de indexação na catalogação de assunto em bibliotecas universitárias: a visão sociocognitiva da atuação profissional com protocolo verbal

The indexing policy must be represented by means of a philosophy that reflects the system's aims. One of the aspects concerning the indexing policy is relating to the data retrospective conversion. The general aim is to discuss and make a profound study on indexing policy guidelines and to analyze the elements to set up an indexing policy, that should direct the indexing procedures carried out in university libraries using the methodology of verbal protocol. The results demonstrate that the indexing policy serves as a support for the knowledge organization in the catalog, acting as a guide for the librarian when determining the subjects of the documents described in the records. It is concluded that the indexing only will be carried out in the university library during the documentary information treatment by means of a well determined policy.

Estudo e análise do risco e da viabilidade econômica do mercado cativo e do mercado livre de energia elétrica no terceiro ciclo tarifário

In 2004 two trading environment for contracts of purchase and of electricity energy were established, the Regulated Contracting Environment (RGE) and the Free Contracting Environment (FCE). In the first one, consumers can only buy their energy directly from local electricity distribution, and in the second one, consumers can choose their delivery, amount and type of energy that they will burn through bilateral contracts. Thus, before deciding to migrate to the FCE, it is necessary understanding the rules of marketing, the risk involved and the economic viability of the two markets so can determine which environment has more benefits to the consumer. This paper aims to offer tools to support takeover decision of potentially free costumers, who have the option to migrate to market in order to evaluate the benefits and disadvantages of each market. This paper has also considered the new rules of the third rate cycle, where consumers can opt for green tax. The methodology presented is based on calculations of spending with energy and the risk of flag in captive market and free market in one year

Mecenato no Brasil democrático

This paper analyzes the dynamics of Brazilian cultural policy between 1995 and 2010. Studies related defend the existence of a "contrast" between the results obtained by the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-2002) and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (2003- 2010), that divide it between a model "neo-liberal" and a "democratic" model of cultural policy. Our main achievement is to produce empirical knowledge that can verify these claims. The build of indicators was guided by the theoretical assumption of the historical new institutionalism, discussed by Pierson (2006), and the observed universe comprises the totality of cultural producers who have submitted projects to “Mecenato”, registered in SALICNET - Ministry of Culture.

Escalas de desenvolvimento infantil e o uso com bebês

The present study aimed to describe the scales (tests or inventories) commonly used to evaluate the development of babies, in terms of objectives, population in which it is destined to, suggested material, what is evaluated and evaluation criteria. It also intended to analyze studies which employed instruments here described, from the late 90s, considering the objectives,the population evaluated, and the main results obtained and, finally, it aimed to identify health professionals who have employed it, since the articles published. The study highlights the important role of evaluating babies, as information source which help decision taking about the elaboration of essential or early intervention programs. However, it is difficult to find standardized instruments for Brazilian child population.
