Estudo comparativo do desempenho empresarial no Brasil e na China no período de 2005-2009: uma análise de empresas de capital aberto do setor de siderurgia

A teoria em finanças tem evoluído cada vez mais aproximando a teoria financeira às práticas reais adotadas nas empresas e nos mercados financeiros. A partir de Modigliani e Miller, que contribuíram para o ramo das finanças com a teoria da Irrelevância Financeira, o caminho se abriu para uma série de debates a cerca da importância das variáveis financeiras na determinação do valor da empresa. Foram levantados questionamentos a respeito da perfeição dos mercados e apresentado argumentos como a assimetria de informações, os custos de agência, a restrição financeira e outras implicações à teoria do investimento. Atualmente o que se sabe é que o fator investimento está altamente ligado às finanças e, portanto, relaciona-se com os meios de financiamento presentes no mercado e com a organização interna e financeira das firmas, esse ramo de estudo recebe o nome de Finanças Corporativas. Diante da teoria financeira, o objetivo é analisar a indústria siderúrgica de duas economias atualmente em destaque, Brasil e China através da análise econômico-financeira de quatro empresas de capital aberto do setor: Gerdau, Usiminas, Baosteel e Masteel. Cabe destacar que a indústria siderúrgica é base para outras indústrias, como construção civil, automóveis, máquinas, entre outros e, por isso, é tida como sinalizadora do desenvolvimento econômico de um país, assim também, o Brasil e a China são caracterizados como grandes potenciais emergentes e fontes de atração de investimentos internacionais

Os impactos da crise financeira sobre as finanças públicas do estado do Piauí

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo compreender os impactos e os ajustes ocorridos nas finanças dos municípios do Estado do Piauí em decorrência da crise financeira mundial de 2008, desencadeada a partir do mercado de hipotecas sub-prime dos Estados Unidos. Para a análise desses impactos sobre os municípios do Piauí, pretendo estudar as principais características da crise financeira mundial de 2008, apresentar uma visão ampla do desenvolvimento econômico e social do estado do Piauí, elaborar um quadro geral das finanças dos municípios piauienses a partir de suas principais contas, montar indicadores fiscal-financeiros, do período pré e pós crise, avaliar os resultados obtidos e identificar se houveram estratégias de ajustes por parte destes municípios. Desta forma, farei uma reflexão não só de como, quanto e se sofreu o estado de menor renda per capita do País, mas também de quais foram as medidas tomadas pelas administrações municipais para o enfrentamento da crise

The work consists of analyzing the risk management of investments by applying statistical concepts, economic and mathematical models considering the assets on the market on renowned financial institution. The assessment of these risks becomes increasingly interesting in view of minimizing your losses thus maximizing your chances of gains in both markets boom as extreme uncertainty, even with the sudden changes of scenery. Introducing concepts of investment funds, as well as the classification of the types of funds as funds management and equity, its guidelines, the concept of market investment funds. The types of assets comprising the investment funds, their taxation rules beyond the incidents that market widely used by investors and skilled people, both physical and legal, who keep their resources in this modality. With the historical data collected yields of investment funds of the Bank of Brazil, is an accomplished inflation adjustment and calculated the mean and variance for the verification of the model of Markowitz efficient frontier, a method used as investment analysis. This scan is used Matlab to obtain the set (or border) efficient portfolios. Once verified such data, there will be a critique of the Markowitz model as a quadratic programming and more coherent risk measures currently studied as VaR and CVaR minimizing the expected error, approaching our studies of current research. Análise da implementação do balanced scorecard em uma fornecedora de tecnologia da informação

Many companies have invested substantial resources in recent years in implementing the Balanced Scorecard, a strategic management tool that embraces not only financial perspectives, but also three other perspectives that create an overall and long-term vision of the company. The purpose of this article is to analyze, through interviews and action research, the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard in a provider of information technology and suitability for the company area Alliances and Channels, identifying determinants factors that exist in the literature and contributing to a greater understanding around this strategic management tool. The study shows that the implementation of the company was not successful, but the area of Alliances and Channels suit tool in order to find good results and two new determinants, other than those existing in the literature, were found

The financial crisis of 2007 brought the discussion of fiscal policy. This was used as a way for governments to mitigate the potential social and economic impacts of the crisis, since only the monetary policy would not be effective. Historically, banking crises engender increases in public debt, not only for the relief operations, but also by the policies of government primary spending and/or, as in the recent crises, by the purchase of the “toxic” financial assets. The discretionary fiscal policy is then discussed, since it is essential, it is required well articulated and coordinated actions in order to mitigate their respective current and future crisis.

The collective funding or crowdfunding is a financial alternative for the development of journalistic content and the Agência Pública de Reportagem e Jornalismo Investigativo figures as a medium that uses this feature, among others. Plano Munucipal de saúde: análise do instrumento de gestão

Among planning instruments used by manager instances of Brazilian Health System it pointed the Health Municipal Plan (PMS) that should be built collectively showing political intentions, directresses, priorities, objectives, goals framework, estimative of resources and need costs to get the goals of the health sector. The aim of this work was to analyze the plans in relation to attendance of legal requirements which manage the Brazilian Health System, its constitution and showing of essential items. The study included three municipalities form São Paulo State. It was used the documental analysis as research technique. Near all plans showed an analysis of situation with detailed descriptions of general situation of municipality, and only one of them realized critical analysis of their epidemiological data; the financial income applied on health was decrypted by only one municipality. About programming, all municipalities described the main problems and its solutions. Although they had goals framework, the question about cost estimative to get the goals was not approached. Any municipality showed an annual review, being one of them delayed over than two years. It was observed no participation of Municipal Health Council on elaboration and review of plans. It was concluded that there was a deficiency in the plans analyzed. It’s necessary to execute continuing education with managers in relation to importance of systematic elaboration of plans and to incentive the promotion of active participation of Municipal Health Council promotion of aiming to became true the social control of health actions.
