Percepção da justiça, qual o seu peso na obesidade e discriminação?

O presente trabalho tem como objectivo analisar a relação entre a percepção de (in)justiça, a dimensão de justiça e o peso corporal da vítima da situação de (in)justiça, ao nível da discriminação e dos estereótipos na pessoa sem excesso de peso. O estudo tem um cariz experimental e segue um design 2x2x2.Os participantes do estudo foram 240 alunos do ensino superior do género feminino e sem excesso de peso. Os dados foram recolhidos através da aplicação de um questionário que avalia a discriminação, os estereótipos positivos e os estereótipos negativos. Os resultados evidenciam diferenças na discriminação e nos estereótipos face à pessoa obesa, comparativamente à pessoa sem excesso de peso. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que na situação injusta a pessoa obesa é mais discriminada, são activados mais estereótipos negativos e menos estereótipos positivos, em ambas as dimensões de injustiça (procedimental e distributiva) do que a pessoa magra. Na mesma ordem, foi ainda verificado que na situação de injustiça a pessoa obesa foi mais discriminada, teve mais estereótipos negativos e menos estereótipos positivos na dimensão procedimental do que na dimensão distributiva. O estudo permitiu verificar que a percepção de (in)justiça face a um obeso influência a discriminação e estereótipos activados na pessoa sem excesso de peso.

The present study's goal is to examine the relationship between the perception of (in) justice and the victim of an (in)justice situation bodily weight, at the level of discrimination and stereotyping from the individual without excess of weight. The study has an experimental character and follows a 2x2x2 design. The participants were 240 female colege students and normal weight. The data was collected using a questionnaire that assesses the discrimination, positive and negative stereotypes. The results shows that in the unfair situation, the obese person is more discriminated, there are more negative stereotypes activated and less positive stereotypes, in both type of justice. In the same order, the results shows that in the unfair situation, the obese person was more discriminated, had more negative stereotypes activated and less positive stereotypes in procedural type than in distributive type. The study allowed the verification that the perception of (in)justice towards an obese influences the manifestation of discrimination and stereotypes activated in the person without excess of weight.
