Os Centros de Convivência Infantil da UNESP: contexto e desafios

Esta dissertação de mestrado contextualiza os 14 Centros de Convivência Infantil (CCIs) implantados, gradativamente, na Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho, desde 1984. Como procedimentos metodológicos, na coleta de dados utilizou-se de formulários cedidos pelo Programa de Assistência Social da Pró-Reitoria de Administração da Unesp e entrevistas semi-estruturadas com 11 supervisoras dos CCIs, reconstruindo a trajetória do atendimento à criança no espaço da Universidade Pública. A criação da creche na Unesp ocorreu em resposta às reivindicações dos seus servidores, consolidada na perspectiva do benefício social. Atualmente constata-se a necessidade de redefinição dos seus objetivos e funções, de acordo com o ordenamento legal das últimas décadas do século XX, reconhecendo a criança como sujeito de direitos e a creche como direito da criança à educação. A pesquisa permitiu concluir que muitos desafios se fazem presentes na implantação de uma política universitária destinadas aos CCIs, legitimando a educação infantil no cenário da Universidade Estadual Paulista.

This Master's degree dissertation analyzer the 14 Centers of Children Sociability (CCIs) implanted, gradually, at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, since 1984. As methodological procedures, forms given by the Social Assistence Program of Pro-Rectory of Administration of Unesp and semi-structured interviews with 11 supervisors of the CCIs have been used in the collection of data, rebuilding the trajectory of the assistance to the child in the space of Public University. The creation of crèche at Unesp occurred as an answers to revindications of it staff, consolidated on the perspective of the social benefit. Nowadays, it's verified the necessity of redefinition about its objectives and functions, according to a legal progress of the last decades of the 20th century, recognizing the children as an individual and the crèche as the children's right to education. The research allowed to conclude that several challenges are present in the implantation of a university policy for the CCIs, legalizing the children's education in the scenery of the Universidade Estadual Paulista.
