A relação entre o padrão de consumo de bebidas alcoólicas e a competência moral em universitária

O consumo de drogas na sociedade contemporânea é uma situação cada vez mais corrente, sobretudo o uso das drogas lícitas, álcool e tabaco. É geralmente na adolescência que os jovens experimentam pela primeira vez algum tipo de substância psicoativa, sendo que a substância de maior consumo é o álcool. No contexto universitário o consumo também ocorre e de forma excessiva, nesta etapa da vida, os jovens apresentam maior vulnerabilidade para este uso por estarem expostos a festas, morarem longe de suas famílias, ter autorização legal para consumirem, etc. Embora não haja pesquisas específicas para a população feminina, verifica-se nos trabalhos que distinguem seus dados por gênero que elas estão fazendo uso de bebidas alcoólicas cada vez mais cedo e de forma excessiva e aparentam não ter consciência que o álcool pode trazer danos físicos, sociais e acadêmicos. Paralelo a isso, vivemos em uma sociedade que exige cada vez mais da mulher a capacidade de tomada de decisão o que implica na competência moral delas. Frente a isso esta pesquisa investigou o padrão de consumo de álcool entre universitárias e analisou a relação do padrão com a competência moral. Na primeira fase da coleta foi aplicado o AUDIT (The Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test), que avalia o padrão de uso de álcool em 259 alunas do curso de pedagogia de uma universidade, na segunda fase foi aplicada o MJT_xt (Moral JudgmentTest - extended version), que avalia o índice de competência moral. Os resultados apontam que cerca de 9,7% das universitárias fazem uso abusivo de bebidas alcoólicas a mostra investigada não apresentou diferenças significativas entre as alunas que consomem álcool excessivamente e as que bebem moderadamente ou são abstêmias para o nível de competência moral. Drug consumption in contemporary society is an increasingly common situation, especially the use of legal drugs, alcohol and tobacco. It is generally in adolescence that young people experience for the first time psychoactive substances, among then alcohol is the substance of great intake. In the university context the consumption also occurs and it is excessively, mainly because in this stage of life young people are more vulnerable to this use since they are exposed to parties, they live away from their families, have legal permission to consume, etc.. Although there is no specific research for the female population, it is verified in works that distinguish their data by gender that they are making use of alcohol at an earlier age and in an excessive way, appearing to be unaware that alcohol can bring physical, social and academic harms. Parallel to this, we live in a society that increasingly demands the ability of women to make decision which involves moral competence in them. Because of that this study investigated the pattern of alcohol consumption among university and examined the relationship of the pattern with the moral competence. In the first phase of sampling was applied the AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorder Identification The Test), which assesses the pattern of alcohol use in 259 students from pedagogy course of a university, in the second phase was applied MJT_xt (Moral JudgmentTestextended version), which assesses the level of competence moral. Results show that about 9.7% of university students are abusing alcohol drinks. Other evidence showed by the investigation is that there is no significant difference between the students who consume alcohol excessively and those who drink moderately are either abstainer to the level of moral competence.
