Ensino de biologia e cidadania: o técnico e o político na formação docente

Este trabalho apresenta resultados obtidos a partir de investigação qualitativa, envolvendo o ensino de biologia e a questão da instrumentalização para a cidadania. Foram entrevistados professores de biologia, buscando-se compreender como os referidos docentes interpretam a responsabilidade que lhes cabe, como agentes de formação para a cidadania. A análise do conteúdo das entrevistas realizadas revelou problemas que precisam ser eliminados, se realmente pretendemos caminhar na direção da construção da escola cidadã.

The current work presents results obtained from the qualitative research, involving the biology teaching and the issue of the education for the citizenship. Biology teacher were interviewed, with the purpose of understanding how the own teachers interpret the responsibility that they have, as agents of education for the citizenship. The analysis of content of the interviews fulfilled, showed problems that need to be solved, if we really desire to implant the construction of citizenship school.
