Hypnosis in childbirth

Resumo

The client in this case report self referred for the use of hypnosis during childbirth. The current pregnancy had been uneventful except for intermittent problems with elevated blood pressure. The client was seen for four sessions prior to a successful delivery using hypnosis. This paper describes in detail the preparation for childbirth using hypnotic techniques, an abreaction that occurred during this time and the use of hypnosis to control blood pressure.<br />
