La participación de la mujer en el terrorismo internacional. Estudio de caso: Los Tigres del Tamil de Sri Lanka

Este artículo tiene la intención de contribuir al desarrollo del estudio del terrorismo femenino y su objetivo es analizar el rol de la mujer en el grupo terrorista Tigres del Tamil de Sri Lanka. Se desea comprobar que estas mujeres refuerzan la dimensión operacional y la estructura de estas organizaciones a través de su participación en varios niveles lo cual puede considerarse una amenaza para la seguridad de los Estados. Este tema refleja la importancia y transformación del terrorismo actual es por eso que quiero hacer una contribución a la academia en las Relaciones Internacionales.

This paper aims to contribute to the developing of studies in female terrorism and its objective is to analyze the role of women in the terrorist group the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. Is an attempt to prove that these women reinforce the operational dimension and the structure of these organizations by their participation on different levels and that can be consider a threat for the national security of States. This topic reflects the importance and transformation of the actual terrorism that’s why I want to make a contribution for the academia on International Relations and an invitation for new investigations according to this topic.
