Inspecção, diagnóstico e projecto no âmbito da reabilitação de edifícios antigos do Porto

O presente relatório de estágio apresenta as actividades desenvolvidas durante o período do estágio curricular, com a duração de 6 meses, na empresa NCREP - Consultoria em Reabilitação do Edificado e Património, Lda. As actividades incluíram a realização de campanhas de inspecção e a avaliação de danos na fase de diagnóstico, com a aplicação de técnicas de ensaio não destrutivo in situ, de modo a auxiliar a definição, em fase de projecto, de medidas de reabilitação/reforço estrutural. Inicialmente apresenta-se uma caracterização dos edifícios antigos do Porto, através de uma breve síntese dos elementos que compõem o seu sistema estrutural. Descrevem-se as técnicas de inspecção, diagnóstico e as acções de reforço/substituição envolvidas em projectos de estabilidade para reabilitação dos edifícios antigos. De forma a complementar a descrição destas actividades, identificam-se os principais danos estruturais por tipo de material afectado e as técnicas de ensaio que auxiliam a análise qualitativa dos danos, envolvendo a utilização de ferramentas tradicionais e a realização de ensaios não destrutivos com o Pilodyn, Resistógrafo, Ferroscan PS200 e esclerómetro de Schmidt. No final deste trabalho são apresentados em pormenor dois projectos acompanhados, desde a fase de inspecção e diagnóstico, até à fase de projecto e obra. Por último, apresenta-se o desenvolvimento de um procedimento tipo (em formato de checklist) para a inspecção de estruturas, a implementar no NCREP, cuja necessidade foi detectada ao longo do acompanhamento das várias actividades realizadas neste estágio.

This report presents the activities developed during the internship, at the company NCREP - Consultancy and Rehabilitation of Built Heritage, Lda, over the last 6 months. These activities focused on the execution of inspection campaigns and on the evaluation of damages at the diagnostic phase, making use of non-destructive in-situ tests and helping on the definition of rehabilitation and structural reinforcement measures. Firstly, this work presents a characterization of Porto’s old buildings, through a brief summary of its structural system. The inspection techniques, diagnostic and strengthening/substitution actions on the intervention project for old buildings rehabilitation are also described. To complement the description of these activities, the main structural damages are identified, assembled by type of affected material, and the testing techniques that assists the analysis of the qualitative damages, like the use of traditional tools, and the execution of more advanced non-destructive test, as Pilodyn, Resistograph, Ferroscan PS200 and Schmidt Hammer, are described. At the end of this report, two projects are introduced and described in detail, from the inspection and diagnostic phase, until the design project and the construction phase. To conclude, this report presents the development of a standard procedure (checklist format) for the inspection of structures to be implemented at NCREP. The need of this standard procedure has been detected during the activities developed during the internship.
