Preparação para a performance instrumental: problemáticas e estratégias: relatório de estágio

Resumo I (Prática Pedagógica) - Nesta seção do relatório de estágio pretende-se caraterizar e apresentar todos os elementos referentes à prática pedagógica, que fizeram parte do estágio do ensino especializado da música, realizado na Escola de Música do Orfeão de Leiria no ano letivo de 2013/2014. De uma forma geral, o relatório de estágio pretende colocar em evidência aspetos pedagógicos como metodologias de ensino, questões motivacionais, estilos de aprendizagem, entre outros. Durante um ano letivo completo foram analisados, com especial atenção, três alunos que foram envolvidos no estágio, construindo e modelando os seus processos de aprendizagem. Para cada um deles foi realizado, ao longo do ano letivo, 30 planos de aula, uma planificação anual e três gravações vídeo/áudio em contexto de aula. Não foi uma tarefa nada fácil de realizar, mas que trouxe inúmeros conhecimentos não só de caráter pedagógico mas também de caráter pessoal. A parte inicial desta seção será dedicada à descrição e caraterização da escola onde foi realizado o estágio, a Escola de Música do Orfeão de Leiria/Conservatório de Artes. Será feita uma pequena abordagem histórica da instituição, bem como do seu projeto educativo, dacomunidade escolar, do seu contexto sociocultural e da classe de saxofone. Será apresentada também uma caraterização dos alunos, segundo vários parâmetros. Posteriormente, serão descritas algumas das práticas educativas desenvolvidas, com os alunos, em contexto de estágio. Para tal, serão utilizados como instrumentos, não só a experiência ativa do docente/estagiário, mas também todas as gravações, planos de aulas e planificações anuais, realizados em contexto de estágio do ensino especializado. Por fim, será realizada uma reflexão crítica do desempenho como docente de saxofone no âmbito do estágio e uma conclusão de toda a seção da prática pedagógica.

Resumo II (Investigação) - Na segunda seção do relatório de estágio pretende-se apresentar e descrever todos os elementos que fizeram parte do projeto de investigação, desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino da Música. Este centrou-se na temática da preparação da performance instrumental, tentando encontrar estratégias de ensino e de apoio que pudessem solucionar algumas das problemáticas apresentadas pelos alunos e atenuar os seus níveis de ansiedade, respondendo à questão: Quais as estratégias que podem ser adotadas, perante as problemáticas apresentadas pelos alunos nas suas performances, no sentido de os preparar eficazmente para as mesmas? A investigação foi também realizada na Escola de Música do Orfeão de Leiria, no ano letivo 2013/2014, utilizando uma amostragem restrita. De uma forma geral, este pretende apresentar um conjunto de estratégias (ao nível da concentração, autoconfiança, autocrítica, métodos de estudo, entre outros), que ao serem implementadas no método de ensino adotado com os alunos, a médio/longo prazo, trarão benefícios ao nível da performance instrumental. Na parte inicial desta seção apresentar-se-á uma breve descrição geral do projeto de investigação, onde serão referidos os objetivos, estratégias e atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do mesmo. Posteriormente, será caraterizada a temática em estudo, através de uma leitura de problemáticas e estratégias no campo da preparação da performance instrumental, segundo a opinião de inúmeros autores, na revisão da literatura. O fio condutor desta investigação será descrito no capítulo que diz respeito à metodologia da investigação, onde as fases da mesma serão apresentadas e ordenadas segundo a ordem cronológica dos acontecimentos. Na parte final desta seção serão apresentados e analisados todos os elementos que comprovam a realização e os resultados desta investigação, como a análise das entrevistas preliminares e conclusivas realizadas aos alunos em estudo, os resultados obtidos no workshop levado a cabo no âmbito da mesma e ainda a análise das avaliações externas realizadas pelo professor cooperante, das performances em grupo e individuais executadas pelos dois grupos de alunos em observação. A seção terminará com uma conclusão, onde serão retirados alguns pontos positivos e negativos deste projeto.

Abstract I (Teaching) - In this section of the internship’s report is intended to characterize and provide all the elements related to the teaching practice, which were part of the internship of specialized teaching of music performed at Orfeão de Leiria - School of Music, in the academic year 2013/2014. In general, the report aims to highlight pedagogical aspects such as teaching methodologies, motivational issues, learning styles, among others. For a full academic year were observed, with special care, three students who were involved in internship, by building and shaping their learning processes. For each, was planned all the school year, 30 lesson plans, an annual plan and three video/audio recordings in the context of class. It was not an easy task to accomplish, but it brought not only pedagogical skills but also skills of a personal nature. The initial part of this section is dedicated to the description and characterization of the school where the internship was performed, the Orfeão de Leiria - School of Music/Arts Conservatory. A small historical approach of the institution will be made, as well as its educational project, the school community, its sociocultural context and the class of saxophone. One characterization of the students will also be presented, according to several parameters. Posteriorly, there will be some description of the educational practices have developed with the students, in the context of the internship. To this end, shall display not only the active experience of the teacher/intern, but also all of the students recordings, lesson plans and annual plans prepared in the context of the specialized teaching internship. Finally, will complete a review of the performance as a teacher of saxophone and a conclusion of the section of pedagogic practice.

Abstract II (Research) - In the second section of the internship report is intended to present and describe all the elements that were part of the research project, developed under the Master of Music Teaching. This theme focused on the preparation of instrumental performance, trying to find teaching strategies and support that could solve some of the problems presented by students and alleviate their anxiety levels, answering the question: What strategies can be adopted before the problems presented by the students on their performances in order to prepare them effectively for the same? Research was also conducted at Orfeão de Leiria - School of Music, in academic 2013/2014 year, using a restricted sample. In general, it aims to present a set of strategies (in terms of concentration, self-confidence, self-criticism, study methods, among others), that when implemented in the method of teaching adopted with students in the medium/long term will bring benefits in terms of instrumental performance. In the early part of this section, a overview of the research project will be presented, which will be referred to the goals, strategies and activities developed during the same. Thereafter, the theme will be described in the study, through a wide reading of the issues and strategies in the field of preparation of instrumental performance, according to the opinion of many authors in the literature review. The thread of this research will be described in the chapter concerning the methodology of research, where the phases of the same will be presented and ranked according to the chronological order of events. In the final part of this section will be presented and analyzed all the elements that prove the implementation and results of this investigation, as the preliminary and conclusive analysis of interviews conducted with students in study, the results obtained in the workshop conducted under the same and yet analysis of external evaluations carried out by cooperating teacher, the group and individual performances carried out by two groups of students under observation. The section ends with a conclusion, which will be taken some positive and negative points of this project.
