Problemáticas de classificação da obra dramática de Nelson Rodrigues: críticas, reflexões e propostas

Este trabalho tem como ponto de partida uma reflexão crítica sobre as diferentes classificações feitas até hoje da obra dramática de Nelson Rodrigues. Aprofundando especialmente o agrupamento desenvolvido por Sábato Magaldi, esquema teórico dominante nos estudos académicos consagrados ao dramaturgo, será posta em causa a validade de alguns dos seus princípios, no intuito de verificar a eficácia da sua aplicação ao conjunto das peças. Por outro lado, tendo sido a tragédia, do ponto de vista do género teatral, uma das principais inspirações para o processo criativo do escritor, dar-se-á igualmente espaço às problemáticas acerca do trágico, seja como entendimento autoral do conceito, seja como recurso prático empregue nas obras. O resultado deste duplo exercício de análise sobre os temas apresentados é a tentativa de uma nova proposta de classificação, ou, se preferível, o reconhecimento da possibilidade de outras formas de classificação da obra dramática de Nelson Rodrigues.

ABSTRACT: The starting point of this work is a critical thinking on the different classifications made to date to the dramatic work of Nelson Rodrigues. Specially elaborating on the grouping developed by Sábato Magaldi, a theoretical scheme that is dominant on the academic studies assigned to the playwright, the validity of his principles will be here put under scrutiny, with the aim of verifying the efficacy of the use of those principles to the set of the works. On the other hand, since the tragedy has been one of the main inspirations to the author’s creative process, room will equally be given to the questions regarding the tragic, in the scope of the authorship understanding of the concept or as a practical resource that is applied to the works. The result of this dual exercise of the analysis on the presented subjects are the attempt of a new proposal of classification, or, if preferable, the acknowledgement of the possibility of other forms of classification of the dramatic work of Nelson Rodrigues.
