[EUS] Azken urteetan eskolatze goiztiarrak nabarmen egin du gora gure gizartean. Gero eta gehiago dira hilabete gutxirekin haur eskolara joaten hasten diren haurrak, beraientzat segurtasun iturri den ingurunetik aldenduz. Banaketa hau bereziki zaila suerta dakieke ume gehienei aparteko ezinegonak, larritasun uneak edota gaixotasunak sortuz, eskolarekiko harremana betirako baldintzatzeaz gain. Hori dela eta, haur txikiaren eskolatzearen inguruan hausnartzeko beharra dago ezinbestean. [ESP] En los últimos años la escolarización temprana ha experimentado un notable aumento en nuestra sociedad. Cada vez son más los bebés que habiendo cumplido los cuatro o cinco meses son escolarizados alejándolos de este modo de un entorno en el que se encuentran seguros. Esta separación puede resultar difícil causando en los bebés inquietud, momentos de angustia o incluso enfermedades, además de condicionar para siempre su relación con la escuela. Es por eso que resulta imprescindible reflexionar en torno a la escolarización del niño pequeño. Hoy en día con el objetivo de que el niño se amolde lo antes posible al ritmo y exigencias de la escuela-infantil, se ofrece un periodo conocido como periodo de adaptación, al igual que se ofreció años atrás en el segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil. Desgraciadamente, este proceso no hace más que dificultar aún más la separación, ya que no es respetado el ritmo del niño. Es por eso que a continuación se presenta el proceso de familiarización. Un proceso basado en el respeto y la comunicación cuyo objetivo es crear mediante la comunicación de todo aquel que participe en la educación del niño un entorno relajado y agradable, no sólo en función de la edad del niño sino también en función de las necesidades de éste.

[ENG] Over recent years, early schooling has experienced a significant increase in our society. There are more and more infants who start going to school at the age of four or five months, being moved away from an environment which is secure for them. This separation can be difficult for the infant causing anxiety, moments of distress and even illnesses; in addition, such separation may condition the relationship between the infant and school forever. That is why it is crucial to reflect on the schooling of the infant. Nowadays, a period known as adaptation process is offered in schools with the aim of adjusting the infant to the rhythm and requirements of the school. Unfortunately, however, this process makes the separation even more difficult since it does not respect the rhythm of the infant. It is for this reason that a so-called familiarization process has been introduced. A process based on respect and communication which objective is to create a relaxed and pleasant environment by means of communication among all people taking part in the education of the infant. This process responds not only to the child’s age, but also to the needs of the child.
